Sorry to hear this. I believe some if not most people in a coma are somehow aware of things in the room, so maybe take some photos and chat about the snow?
I used to treat traumatically brain-injured people - many, post-coma. There's an amazing amount of sensation the comatose can be aware of - especially sound (speaking, singing, explaining what's happening to them...)
